At Sullivan’s Bend Boat Ramp in Elmwood, Tennessee, eight innocent tiny victims of neglect were discovered by local hunters on Sunday. The Smith County Humane, TN dog team coordinator picked them up, and they will be under the care of the rescue organization. Foster homes are currently needed. Once the puppies have been examined and cleared as healthy by the veterinarian, they will move on to temporary homes.

Foster placements from Smith County Humane are generally short term and only while the pet is awaiting a placement with an adoption based rescue. SCH covers all vet care expenses while the foster is in your care.
Dumping animals is a crime. If anyone has any information on where these puppies came from, or if they witnessed someone abandoning these puppies, please contact the shelter.
