When a veterinary emergency care hospital reached out to rescuer Faith Easdale and her team in the Redlands, California area for help with a four-week-old puppy with birth defects found as a stray, the group immediately stepped forward to help.
The puppy is missing one back leg, and the other back leg is small and deformed. This is the way she started out on life:

For the last two weeks, Faith has been feeding the puppy baby food at regular intervals. She also placed a small stuffed heartbeat animal along with a heating pad and tucked her into her tiny bed. And as the puppy has started feeling better, now is the time for her to receive the specialized help and treatment she will need in order to become a happy young adult pooch.
And so on Monday, the puppy headed to Josh and his Critters . Here she is:
