In a heartbreaking video of a dog from the Orange County Animal Services in Florida, photographer Albert Harris (@aharrisphoto) triggered our tears when he videoed a senior dog alone in his kennel, and although the shelter had been bustling with action, absolutely no one even glanced in the direction of this poor boy.
This was Sarge at the shelter:
And since Sarge’s plight caught the viral video platform and lots of people read his sad story, Sarge has now found a home. According to Newsweek, his new family and owner Christy Ditto said this was “100 % meant to be.” About a month ago, Christy’s attention zeroed in on Sarge.
I thought to myself no way my hubby will let me bring home this old guy and went about my business. Then your story came, and there is his beautiful face. My hubby texted me a picture and I was like ‘I can’t believe no one wanted this poor guy. He’s been there forever.’”

And the rest is history and just filling in the blanks. The family contacted Orange County Animal Services, and it wasn’t long before Sarge was at his new home and has become a star. He is lovable, cuddly and has stolen their hearts.
Keep posting those incredible videos Albert Harris (@aharrisphoto). You certainly make a difference, and no doubt you are a hero.
