Good Samaritans rescue dog and cat in middle of Hurricane Ian

In Fort Meyers, Florida two Good Samaritans rescued a dog in the middle of torrential rains and the life endangering winds of Hurricane Ian on Wednesday. Video taken by News Nation crew and reported by Brian Entin, showed a man wading into the floodwaters at a local marina and carrying a brown and white dog out in his arms.

Once the dog was pulled out of the water, the dog shook himself off and ran towards Entin who was able to grab the dog’s leash while the man went back into the marina area to save a cat.

Check out the video here:

Some of the sailboats had been lying on their sides while the masts had snapped on others.

Many people were able to evacuate and save their pets, however so many good people helped. Megan Cruz Scavo shared a video on Twitter, showing her boyfriend rescuing a cat that had climbed to the top of an air conditioner compressor trying to stay dry.

Many thanks to the heroes who help those who cannot speak and call out for help.
