At the City of San Antonio Animal Care Services, officers responded to an emergency call on Saturday, referencing an emaciated dog tethered with a chain to a bus stop sign. When they arrived, they found a scared and skinny dog. Officers removed the chain and transported her to the shelter for proper care. She had been at that exact spot, tied up, thirsty and so vey hungry for three days.
her owner abandoned her… they left her tied up to a pole by a bus stop. This precious girl stood in the heat for who knows how long with no access to food or water.

Scared dogs are too often just passed over in a shelter, even though they can thrive and become wonderful companions and pets if given a chance. Tragically, this two-year-old shepherd blend is scheduled to be euthanized today, (just 3 days after she was discovered), and it is hoped sharing her plight will spare her life.
Meet Bemo; she is at the shelter and eating regularly, however she is still very frightened of her environment and the people around her. She will take treats that are tossed her way, but is not yet comfortable walking on a leash and is afraid to leave her kennel.
Because she is so frightened, Bemo needs a calm and quiet environment along with a patient, experienced person to help her open up and show her she can truly trust people.
At this time, Bemo has just given up; she has curled up on the cement floor of her kennel cage as if waiting to die. Please share her story with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives.
