Anthony and Robyn had been passing by a grassy cow pasture in Australia a few weeks ago, when they noticed a koala clinging to the bottom of a fence post on the side of a cow paddock. The two Good Samaritans realized the koala was in need of help and immediately contacted Mel Fraser and Karl Dawson of Noah&Lil Woodend Wildlife Shelter.
We don’t know how long she was there for but do know at least 2 hours, so she was utterly exhausted but incredibly lucky as cows can injure and even kill koalas.
She’s resting at our shelter, and looking a lot brighter today!!!

The small wildlife shelter operates in the Macedon Ranges and waded through deep marshes to rescue the marsupial.
Since her rescue, she has been made very comfortable. Although she is a fussy eater like most koalas, her rescuers tried quite a few menu items before deciding on the tips she enjoyed. She will be heading back to her home range after she makes a full recovery and the weather improves. For now she likes browse and snooze all day long knowing she is safe.
Check out her video and be prepared to smile:
