Lucky was heartbroken after being returned to shelter, but that is in the past

Greene County, VA – A hound mix named Lucky was sad and confused after his adoptive family decided that he was too big and returned him to the shelter. Staff at the Greene County Animal Shelter of Virginia was equally distraught over what happened and they turned to social media to share the cast-aside dog’s story.

Fortunately, the post went viral on social media and now Lucky’s woes are behind him. Last week, the shelter was elated to let Facebook followers know that the tides had turned for Lucky and better days are ahead.

Facebook is amazing!!!! LUCKY is one very lucky boy!!! Lucky found his new forever family today!!!! After over 3,000 shares and reaching over 130,000 people all it took was for one family to fall in love!!!
