In Holland, Michigan, had it not been for a Good Samaritan who spotted a box full of very young puppies along a busy highway on Saturday evening, the eight tiny ones may not have survived.
Last night, in the howling wind and the pouring rain, a cardboard box full of puppies were recovered from the side of 120th Ave, near New Holland. We are so thankful for the Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputy who, responding to a call from the public, saved these sweet babies
Harbor Humane
According to the Harbor Humane, the eight puppies are about four-weeks-old and would not have survived the night in the pouring rain. When found, they were soaking wet and their body temperatures were low. Two of the puppies remain in critical condition, and it is hoped they will be able to pull through.
Once the puppies are on their way to a successful recovery, they will be placed in a foster home.
We are currently looking for any information about who may have abandoned these puppies. It breaks our hearts that things happened this way. Had they reached out to Harbor, we would have been more than willing to help, and this dangerous situation could have been avoided.
