In Houston, Texas, a small but very brave little dachshund managed to escape from a pack of wild coyotes determined to make the little pooch their dinner. When word came to the non profit animal rescue Lola’s Lucky Day, about the small dog having been spotted being chased across a golf course by the coyotes, no one thought the dog would survive.
According to Newsweek, animal advocate and volunteer for the rescue organization, Samantha Zimmer, stated they had been told about the pup in the same area the rescue organization had been trying to humanely trap an Australian shepherd, and neighbors had also spotted the small dog running for his life.
The area is known for coyotes and surveillance cameras often pick up the reflections of the wild animals. That’s why there was little faith in the dog making it to the next day still alive.
And almost as if a miracle occurred, three days later, Samantha received a call that the small pup had been found in a resident’s front yard cowering in the corner. He was able to be captured and when found had suffered very few injuries.
No one has stepped forward for Carlos.
