Maybe it’s all especially sad as so many of us have purchased gifts and treats for our own pets preparing for the holidays amidst the decorated trees, the brightly lit menorahs and the overabundance of tasty foods soon to be spread upon our dining room tables.
But more, maybe it’s the saddest overcrowded shelters with the most innocent victims destined to be euthanized because no one has come to adopt them. Take for instance, Marley – a one-year old mixed breed who is already listed to take that long, lonely walk down the hall for her last day of sunshine. Marley waits at the Riverside County Animal Control in Jurupa Valley, California. She’s labeled to be a pit bull type of breed, and more often than not, she has no future.
Does she actually look as though she is crying? Check out her short clip on TikTok posted by @iloverescue.
