California Highway Patrol officer cared for lost dog found on Christmas Eve

Officers Scott and Perez from the California Highway Patrol South Sacramento, spotted a German shepherd dog running along the busy thoroughfare of Stockton Boulevard on Saturday night.

According to the Facebook page for the police department, Officer Scott decided to take the dog home with him because it was Christmas Eve. and the Sacramento County Animal Control was closed until Monday.

Following up on the lost dog, late Christmas Day, a post has since been added to the Highway Patrol’s story about the dog from her owner who stated she had been very worried about her dog.
