At the Hesperia Animal Shelter in Southern California, a senior Great Dane named Hamlet, needs immediate help out of the shelter. He has been there since December, and the only reason he has not been euthanized is because the staff just loves him.
He walks beautifully on a leash. Unfortunately, he prefers to have his humans to himself, and this could end up costing him his life.
At this time, Hamlet has been “red listed” and continues to run out of time. He is eight-years-old and entered the shelter after having been found as an undernourished and neglected older pup. A volunteer writes the following:
This boy is a big love bug. However Hamlet prefers to be the only animal in the home. He loves going for walks and playing. He’s got an amazing personality and you won’t want to pass him up.
