Lil’ Biggs, nicknamed Bigsby, has a huge following for such a tiny puppy. He only weighs 15 ounces and is so tiny that the emergency room staff at the veterinary hospital are not able to insert a catheter in order to administer subQ fluids to keep him hydrated.
Lil’ Biggs was probably the runt of the litter. He doesn’t know how to latch and suck which is why he aspirated when bottle fed. This is what caused the pneumonia that resulted in his hospital stay. And any time a dog needs oxygen, the bill to care for him quickly rises.
Biggs continues to need specialized care and will also need ongoing care once released from the emergency hospital.
The puppy’s veterinarian expenses are currently exceeding $4,000. Help is appreciated.
