In less than 15 hours, Tulpa will be humanely euthanized because no one came to the shelter in Polk County, Georgia to adopt this sweet dog. It appears this young Labrador retriever mix was surrendered on March 17, and since then no one has come to the rural shelter to even ask about him.
It was this bittersweet afternoon that local volunteer Shannon, took an anxious and exuberant pup outside for some much needed exercise and companionship.
Tulpa’s last day… today i took this sweetie outside to let him get away from the shelter stress in his kennel he often Hides in the corner so he was thankful to feel the sunshine. He rolled in the grass and had treats…i hope he knows that we tried to save him but no one came.. he dies alone tomorrow morning at 8am

Unless someone arrives at the shelter by 8:00 tomorrow morning, Tulpa will die. His adoption fee is $20, and within 30 days he must be vaccinated and neutered. This is a small, open intake shelter; there isn’t much hope for dogs and cats who have been surrendered or found as strays. Most depend on the volunteers and social media to help them find homes.
Please share this boy’s plight. His life depends on all of us trying our best to help. Check out his video – he is so full of life. Please share with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts.
