At the Niagara SPCA in Niagara Falls, New York, Ralphie, the 26-pound black and white adorable French bulldog who made national news, has now been adopted again – and the fourth time is the charm.
According to the shelter, who originally described Ralphie as a “fire breathing demon,” more than 700 applications had come in offering to adopt the dog. And after some intense training and a much calmer perhaps “ex-demon dog,” a decision was finally made. And all this careful consideration came after sending applicants on to Ralphie’s trainer to review, Ralphie’s perfect adopter was chosen – Jason.
Ralphie joins Jason’s pack where the dog will live with another Frenchie, a dachshund and a German shepherd. Jason is uniquely qualified since his Frenchie and dachshund also had bite histories before he adopted them. The German shepherd – well -he loves and accepts everyone.
Jason trains dogs for a living for the Department of Energy in Tennessee. His own personal dogs have super active and enriching lives- running marathons, and placing in agility and flyball.
We wonder how Jason finds time to live his life around all of his dogs’ activities. The answer surely must be: he dedicates his life to dogs and that’s what makes him a perfect match for Ralphie.
Jason has created both a Facebook page and an Instagram for Ralphie so everyone can follow along. This isn’t unusual as Jason has pages for his resident dogs as well.
