Hero needed: Pup with missing eye spent years alone in garage looking for love

Admin

In Springfield, Massachusetts, a four-year-old dog with a missing eye is looking for love and a home of her very own. Her name is “Princess,” and although her name makes you think of a pampered pooch, sadly this sweet dog, who seems very anxious to please, spent years isolated in a garage.

According to the Dakin Humane Society, Princess is described as a “very friendly and outgoing dog who loves nothing more than spending time with her people.” In addition, Princess hasn’t been around other dogs much, but she is curious and eager to make new friends.

Since her surgery to remove her diseased eye, it looks as if Princess is winking at everyone, and as she continues to recover, everyday Princess seems to be feeling better.

The rescue organization does think Princess will do best as the only pet in the home. It isn’t known how she does with cats or children, but so far she seems to be very kind and very gentle.

Princess is a happy and loving dog who deserves all of the wonderful things life has to offer. If you can open your heart and home to Princess as a foster OR an adopter.

Princess has also showed a proclivity to play and explore the great outdoors. What a great companion this pretty girl would be for the active person who loves taking long walks, going on adventures or playing in the park. Learn more about this sweet dog by clicking here.

Because of her previous life, Princess is not house trained. She does know “sit” and loves to chew on bones! She’s very food motivated and should be easy to house train and teach other tricks too. Princess would love to take a group class using positive reinforcement to bond with her new person and learn new tricks!
