ADOPTED: SAFE
At the Fort Worth Animal Shelter in Texas, Ace and Raven are scheduled to be euthanized on Monday, May 20, 2024, if they are not out of the shelter. The dogs were surrendered on May 11, because the youngest child in the family has allergies, and the family stated they could no longer afford the skin care for the dogs.
Would you like to meet the dogs?
Ace is a five-year-old male weighing 87 pounds.(A0055903763) who has had no problems getting along with dogs, cats and children. He is house and crate trained. His favorite pastimes include playing with tennis balls, squeaky toys, car rides, meeting new people and of course – cuddling.
His previous family complained Ace jumps on furniture, digs in the yard and often barks.
And according to the owners, they can not afford the cost of medical and allergy medications, even though they have been working with these issues for the past two years. Their youngest child has the allergies.
This is what they had to say about Ace:
ace is a big goofy goober. He doesn’t know how big he is. he loves to be loved on and to play outside. he loves to run around with the kids or let them love and play on him. he is a sweet and smart boy.
And now for Raven’s story:
She is a seven-year-old pup who weighs 43 pounds(A0055903770) and she was surrendered with Ace. Raven is very frightened, and she hasn’t known how to react to shelter life and sadly has not been doing well. Raven, as with her family dog Ace is trained as well, and the two love playing together, love car rides and have fun frolicking with the children.
Raven knows her commands – sit, shake and stay.
This is what her previous family said about her:
raven is a sweet girl; she wants and needs someone to love her and shower her with attention. She is chill and laid back def lounge type but loves to run around with her brother Ace.
All adoptions must be done in person. Rescue organizations must email the shelter to place a hold on the dog. [email protected]. In the subject line, write “last call” with the dogs’ names and reference number. You will receive an automated response back first – then a staff member will send a confirmation email.
Both Ace and Raven are located at Fort Worth Animal Care and Control – South/Silcox Animal Campus located at 4900 Martin Street, Fort Worth, TX 76119.
Please share their plights – owner surrenders are the first dogs to be euthanized, and it’s just not fair that Raven and Ace will lose their lives through no fault of their own. Share with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives.
