Deaf and blind dog abandoned at Boulder park: Police asking for help

Admin

The Boulder Police Department have asked for the public’s help finding the person(s) involved in abandoning a dog at the East Boulder Recreation Center this week. The approximately three-year-old hound dog is likely deaf and mostly blind.

Officers are investigating how and when the dog arrived at the park alone.

He has been taken to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley for now, but officers are asking for the public’s help to figure out how he came to be at the dog park. Please note that according to Colorado law, it is an animal cruelty crime to intentionally abandon a dog or cat

If you saw this dog or anyone who appeared to be associated with this dog and/or their vehicle as well as what time of day on May 22 or May 23, please call BPD Animal Protection at 303-441-1874 with any information.
