An 18-year-old Maltipoo named Snowball arrived at the Houston Humane Society as an owner surrender earlier this month. For most of us, spending that many years with our beloved pet is indeed a privilege, but not knowing the particular circumstances, we should not be judgmental.
Snowball needed a fospice – foster/hospice situation. No one wanted this sweet little one to die alone in a noisy animal shelter.
Along came the kindest woman who goes by @Matildanfrends on TikTok; who stepped up to make Snowball’s end of life experience the sweetest and most loved time. Instead of Snowball having to stay in a shelter cage, this tiny pooch has been receiving the best and gentlest care -albeit any dog young or old.

“Fostering this angel has brought me (and her) so much joy! If you want to make a difference in a dogs life, foster. It means the world to them.“
We do understand that most people would rather adopt a young dog, but seniors are just so special. Snowball accompanies her new mom to work everyday, takes a well-deserved nap in her special bed with her favorite soft toy, enjoys some playtime and often gets to go with mom for some fast food treats.
