When a frightened dog arrived at a noisy animal shelter, a big hearted volunteer was there to help. A TikTok clip posted in May captured our hearts and showed how utterly defeated and sad this little dog appeared as she was carried to her shelter cage in Florida.
In the video, which has garnered more than 409,000 views, Savannah Palmer recorded the heartbreaking snippet as the dog dubbed Gizmo, can be seen visibly trembling and at the moment when Savannah moves to place the dog into the kennel, the dog nuzzles into her shoulder and clings to the woman. We all cried at that one.

And just when more than 1,500 comments were added questioning how anyone could be so callous as to surrender their dog this way, Savanna posted an update:
“Gizmo has been adopted and is now in an amazing home. Thank you all!”

The video, as sad as it began, but as happy as the story ended was meant to help and encourage people to adopt and not shop for their next best friend.
