Meet Sheila; this frightened young dog arrived at Dallas Animal Services as a stray on July 31. Since being at the shelter, she has had difficulty adjusting to the noise, strangers and confusion and has shut down.
When she arrived, she was covered with fleas and ticks and has since been treated. Now it is hoped she can be placed in a safe home or with a foster to decompress and realize there are many kind people in the world who only want to help.
Shelter notes:
. STAYS ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF KENNEL. LOW TO THE GROUND AND CURLED INTO A BALL.
• Hiding in the corner of the kennel, caked to the floor. She avoids any interactions.
