At the Casey County Animal Shelter in Liberty, Kentucky, this young pup was very excited to be going to his new home. He had been found as a stray a few weeks ago near the Hickory Hills Country Club and had been friendly to everyone. Likely he had been dropped off; maybe his past owner thought he would have a better chance of finding a home if abandoned in a nice area? Sadly, his former owner never seemed to have cared enough and never came to the shelter to reclaim him.
He waited and waited; no one showed up.
Shelter volunteers think he is part collie and greyhound; those slim hips and those long legs make him a handsome sight to behold, that’s for sure.
SAD NEWS! The adopter had a change of heart, leaving the sweet dog in the shelter. We’ve paid the adoption fee and are seeking a foster or adoptive home. It’s sad to see him still there. Wish I didnt have to post the sad news.
