How many of us have wished our dearly departed canine friends could have lived until they were 15-years-old? How we wish we could have cherished those golden years, but sadly most us have were never as fortunate.
It was on August 11, 2023 at the Carson Animal Shelter that “Biggie” was surrendered by his owner. The Labrador retriever seems so depressed and confused. One can only imagine what he is thinking as he waits for his family to return.

Biggie is eating and drinking – all good signs. Sure he walks slowly, but aren’t aches and pains associated with being old and arthritic part of the package? He still wants to live, he still wants to be loved, and the staff and volunteers at the shelter all are trying their best to help.
