At Los Angeles Animal Care, we meet Timber, a Belgian Malinois, who has had no luck in his young life. He arrived at the Harbor Shelter on May 29th as a stray, after animal care officers reported he had been hit by a car and needed medical attention.
No one has inquired about Timber. Sadly it is thought this magnificent puppy was thrown away and cast off.
According to shelter notes, he weighs 33 pounds, is nine-months-old and is having a hard time walking. Radiographs show he has a crushed vertebrae. Although he is unsteady on his hind legs, he remains ambulatory but weak. He is very frightened, but is not aggressive.
“I did attempt to get closer to him to get video of him but he did show me his teeth so i didn’t push it. He is very scared and it is understandable due to his painful injury.”

Timber needs a friend, a rescuer and medical intervention. He deserves better than to have to languish in a shelter cage or be euthanized because no one cares enough to help him. Please share his plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Pet Rescue Report saves so many lives – ones that there was no hope for until the kindest people and the best animal advocates helped to share their stories.
