Cubby has been adopted! Many thanks to everyone for sharing his story. We are all delighted to have another happy ending.
UPDATE: At the shelter’s behavior department, the staff has taken Cubby’s history and his positive interaction with children at the shelter and decided to remove Cubby’s age restriction.
we just want to emphasize that he is a big dog and will need a family that is capable of walking and handling his strength.
HS for Hamilton County
Seven-year-old Cubby is losing his spirit. At the Humane Society for Hamilton County (Indiana), this sweet senior used to light up the room with his cheerful and hopeful spirit, but the stress at the shelter has dimmed his forever optimistic persona.
Cubby wants to be loved. He wants a home with a soft bed and every morning he can enjoy the rise of the sun and regain his spirit.
When will i be good enough? When will i be loved again?

Sadly, would be adopters visit the shelter, and although Cubby still puts on his cutest face and friendly personality, people will say, “we love him, he’s just a little old for us” and/or “he’s so sweet, but I’m not sure I want a pit bull.”
Cubby needs a home where the children are over eight years of age, and there are no cats. He has successfully lived with dogs, but would love to meet your pup here at the shelter to make sure everyone is a perfect fit.
If you are interested in adopting or fostering, just apply and come into the shelter- no need to wait for a call.
