Calpaws K9 Rescue, in the San Francisco area of California, have put out a desperate plea to animal lovers. Desperate area shelters have contacted them asking for help. East County Animal Services is asking for help with three mother dogs and their babies; one mother is currently in active labor. Stockton Animal Services is also asking for help; this mother and babies should not be at the shelter for their own health and safety.

Without help, the mother dogs and their newborn puppies will remain at the shelters.
