The heartbreaking photo of a stray pup in Brownsville, located on the western Gulf Coast in South Texas, adjacent to the Mexico border, went viral yesterday. Thousands responded to the photo and wanted to know how they could help.
Sadly, in this region many innocent pets are abandoned; they cry out for help, but no one hears them. The popular dumping ground for those heartless owners who don’t want to deal with their “unwanted” pets has become an area of undeniable cruelty.
And the sad reality of abandoning pets continues. Animal rescuer, Leslie Hennings posted the photo of the dog in need of help.
The dog’s description followed:
No eyes. No teeth. How is he alive? A skeletal boy is walking blindly through streets in search of food that he can’t even eat. This boy is living in a dark hell and one that he can’t even maneuver through visibly. He urgently needs rescue and foster! He is not going to survive like this!
