Mama #MidnightAtBarc and her puppies are on death row tomorrow, Monday afternoon, at BARC Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. Midnight just loves to give kisses to everyone she meets, and her puppies are just as friendly as they follow their mother’s lead to be petted and loved.
Midnight and her puppies had been running loose in a neighborhood when picked up by humane officers. The friendly mother dog did not mind the officers picking up and cuddling her puppies. During her assessment at the shelter, she truly wanted to be near a human and gave her “whale eyed” look when not being held or reassured she was safe. (Little does she know)
This family needs a hero:
And now her babies:
This is how a volunteer described meeting this beautiful family. (And to think they are all scheduled to die if no placement is secured)
“Midnight was sitting there quietly with her big babies when I came in the ward. I approached her door and she came up to me so wiggly and eager to come out. Her babies followed suit with wagging tails and happy little yelps. She is so small her babies look big in comparison! I went to open the door and all 5 puppies and mama tried to break out all at once, so I decided not to push my luck and just got media through the door. I really wish I could’ve taken Midnight out though because she was sooo wiggly and had the sweetest little temperament.”
