Whoever tied this undernourished and overbred dog by a cable wire and left her attached to a fence in a park near Riverside, California, had to have been heartless. This six-year-old dog, dubbed Sunflower, was starving and infested with ticks and fleas when a Good Samaritan accidentally found her.
Animal control officers were notified, and when they arrived, Sunflower, despite the unforgiveable and heartless abandonment, gratefully allowed the staff to carry her to the vehicle, giving them kisses and acknowledging their kindness. And when she arrived at the Riverside Shelter, she continued to be friendly and very social. (We do not deserve dogs!)
