At the Apple Valley Animal Services in California, a young terrified dog entered the shelter on Monday, and his days are most likely numbered unless someone experienced with Australian cattle dogs steps forward to rescue him. Afraid to move, Red cowers in the corner and has no idea where he is nor why he is there.
There hasn’t been much information about his past, but he was picked up as a stray; no one has come to take him home.

Red will be available for adoption on Saturday (tomorrow) as his stray hold expires. He is described as an intact male weighing about 30 pounds. He has been too frightened to have been scanned for a microchip. He seems to be unsocialized and cannot be handled.
Rescues are permitted to pull on 10/31/23; animal is also legally available for euthanasia on this same date.
