Meet sweet Dice Boy; he lovingly stole the heart of a volunteer at the DeKalb County Animal Services in Georgia on Friday, when he couldn’t believe he was finally going outside. Dice Boy had not been out of his shelter cage since October 11, 2023, and he had to be coaxed out of the his tiny prison which is on the top row in the very back of the shelter.
Sadly, the shelter is overcrowded, and room for all the adoptable dogs is at a premium.

This is the volunteer’s opinion:
“Dice Boy .. he was such a sweet sweet boy. Today was the first day he’s been walked since 10/11, which completely broke my heart. He was so good in every way. He was excited to see the other dogs in the yard and was so gentle and calm. He wasn’t interested in treats at all. He knows how to sit so well!
(*edited to say that I just noticed he’s listed on his card as level two, but on the board he was level one*)”
Additional information states the dog could be rated as Level Two because he is strong and pulls at his leash. Information is for the benefit of volunteers.
