Bonded Tibetan Mastiff’s surrendered to overcrowded shelter and in need of rescue soon

Admin

Gorgeous and Guilty were surrendered to the Carson Animal Shelter on November 1, 2023 due to landlord issues. If they are unable to be reunited with their owner by November 8, they will be available for adoption.

Guilty (needs a new name) #A5592071 is three-years-old. He has not been neutered. According to the shelter, he is big and beautiful, although his grooming has been neglected. He is closely bonded with Gorgeous #A5592070). Both dogs are described as very sweet, but be reminded, they will need someone experienced with this very large breed.

Gorgeous is two-years-old and is very attached to Guilty. They would do best if adopted together.

Things to know: (for information purposes only)

The dogs typically weigh between 140 to 200 pounds.

Temperament: They are protective, stubborn, tenacious, aloof, intelligent and strong willed. They are very protective of their families, and can be excellent companions for children – however children and the dogs must be taught to care and respect each other. Always be sure to contact your veterinarian to make sure the dogs are a fit for your family. More information from AKC on Tibetan Mastiffs can be found here.
