A beautiful three-year-old Belgian Malinois is about to lose her life at the Riverside Animal Shelter in California. She appears to have just given up. As is a main characteristic of her breed which is to be energetic and run around the play yard at the shelter when given the opportunity, this girl just sits in the corner as if she knows this will be her last stop.
A volunteer writes:
there is no play lfet in the beautiful girl, whose breed is known for their crazy energy and mischief! she just sits in the corner giving up.

Sadly, Melrose’s last home is likely to be a spot on a concrete floor staring out from behind the bars of her shelter cage. Apparently, she had been used for breeding, but for unknown reasons, it seems as if her usefulness for her prior owner has run its course. And the inhumanity of a throwaway society is all that there is for this frightened dog.
