In rural Missouri, a two-year-old Great Pyrenees surely had a guardian angel when an unknown person shot her with a bow and arrow. The arrow hit and entered near her shoulder, exiting on the other side. When found, the young dog, named Mimzy, had a gaping and infected hole.
It had been Stray Rescue of San Louis that stepped up and volunteered to help. On November 8, Mimzy arrived at the rescue organization. Miraculously, the arrow had not hit any internal organs; thus the reason her fans claim she had a guardian angel.
The wound has taken weeks to heal, and an abscess on her front leg made it difficult for the dog to even walk. Slowly she has been recovering, and she sure is quite beautiful.
Her update at the end of November has been in preparation for helping Mimzy find her forever home:
World? Meet Mimzy.
… The arrow went right through her back and came out the other side leaving a gaping wound. She also has a nasty wound on her front leg.
This gentle little polar bear baby is an ANGEL. She’s the kindest, most gentle baby that has ever walked the earth. She’s healing wonderfully, and every time we give her a hug, she heals us a little bit, too. Give today to help dogs like Mimzy, who deserve the entire world.
