In New Philadelphia, Ohio, a six-week-old puppy, who weighs just over two pounds found herself in a dangerous spot when she was accidentally kicked by a horse. The tiny toy Fox terrier and Jack Russell blend was rescued this week by From Heaven to Earth Rescue.
Zoey was kicked by a horse which resulted in the fractures of her two front legs. According to the organization’s Facebook page, Zoey has been a “real trooper” learning how to walk with splints attached to her legs.
The shelter is asking for more funding to help her in the rest of her recovery. Once Zoey has recovered, she will be ready for adoption.
