Let’s meet Moose – he truly is a dog whose love for his human runs deep. He has learned to love his new life, and now he gets to experience the coolest new adventures with his favorite person, albeit he has had some major hurdles to overcome.
So let’s begin Moose’s story. Somewhere in the United Kingdom, Moose, at only six months of age, was abandoned at a bus station. There he was – alone, in pain and barely able to walk after what had likely been a short life of cruelty and abuse. Fortunately, he was rescued, but his broken leg made it nearly impossible for him to even stand to eat.
The decision was made to amputate Moose’s leg, even though some people wanted him put to sleep, claiming he would never be a happy dog, he was a bully breed or even get adopted.
Being rescued, turned out to be the best day of Moose’s life. He re-learned how to walk and while doing hydrotherapy to regain his strength, he developed a love for swimming. He loves to play and has adjusted to his new life with his new human, a nurse, who fell in love with him while he was recuperating. Among his accomplishments, Moose has graduated from puppy school, romped in the snow for the first time and even overcame Addison’s disease. He has been successfully treated and is doing fine.
And as a tribute to putting his best paw forward, Moose’s mom showcases all of her dog’s accomplishments and adventures on his very own TikTok page – full of inspirational first adventures and the highlights of a young dog overcoming tremendous odds and enjoying every day of his life.
There has never been one doubt – that Moose has been “better off without him” – the puppy’s past owner.
And just one more hurdle that Moose really takes in stride is the UK ban on pit bull terriers listed under the Dangerous Dog Act. At the end 0f 2023, XL bully breed owners have to both muzzle and leash their dogs when out in public. But so what? Moose doesn’t mind at all.
