Terrified injured stray ‘mess’ needs immediate help out of overcrowded Miami shelter

At the Miami-Dade Animal Services in South Florida, a five-year-old extremely neglected gray terrier arrived and is in desperate need of immediate help. Although he just entered the shelter on December 15 and remains on the stray holding period, he may be eligible for the “Foster to Adopt Program.”

This is what we know about this little dog now dubbed Pippin:

presented to the clinic for limping on rear limbs

P is BAR MM pink/moist crt <2s euhydrated

Hair coat matted and very dirty. Paws covered in caked feces. On left lateral rear leg black fluid filled dermal mass palpated .

ddx: Dental disease; DIRTY and matted; mass – cyst vs. MCT vs. hydroma vs other

P is very sensitive and does not like being touch
