As if the stray cat population isn’t tragic enough as these so often unwelcomed guests try their best to survive, our hearts truly break when we see how difficult life really is for them, but for a moment in times, there’s a bit of joy and happiness captured on video by chance, yet no less that special moment when one smiles or cries. You decide as you read on.
It is estimated that there are between 60 and 100 million stray and feral cats in the United States; those who have been tossed out of their homes because their previous owners didn’t want them anymore and the feral cats; the cats who have survived through generations of scavenging and hunting.
And this happened to be one of those stray cats who undoubtedly stole our hearts. This sweetheart found his own holiday joy when he spotted a discarded cat tree left as trash near a dumpster. For a few minutes, he played like a beloved kitten.
Check out the video captured by @dj_kitty_cat as she was walking home one night in the city. The video has garnered more than 3.5 million views, accompanied by the most heartbreaking and heartwarming comments from viewers.

Through the trap-neuter-return, all of us can reduce the cat population which will benefit the community and wildlife as well. Look for organizations and agencies in your area that can help the TNR programs, help find homes for kittens and cats, and if you have a pet cat, make sure your feline friend stays indoors where he is safe.
