Lua is one special pup and will be one of the dogs, riding on the 2024 New Year’s Day float for the Pasadena Humane Society. Lua and her canine friends will represent all adoptable animals in need of homes
The flourish of beautiful designs and canine fun for the Rose Parade will all be together on the float named “Feed the Love” and is being sponsored by Pasadena Humane and Hill’s Pet Nutrition. Lua, a sweet and very perky six-year-old purebred pit bull will be center stage and have a front spot on the float along with other pups from the shelter.
We are so excited to announce that adoptable dog Lua will be riding on our Rose Parade float sponsored by Hill’s Pet Nutrition! Lua is sweet, playful, and extremely loving, and is adored by our staff, volunteers, and her foster family. Lua is honored to be representing all the amazing dogs in shelters across the country who are waiting for their new homes. Tune in on January 1 to see her in the parade!
Betting you want to know more about Lua? It seems she had been adopted in 2022, but her family had to return her to the shelter because of housing issues and financial difficulties.
Lua is also being featured to show people that pit bulls are so often misunderstood and most dogs who look like her are just as sweet as Lua. Her foster family sings her praises and describe her as well-behaved. She will definitely be one of the ambassadors for all animals who still need homes.
And in addition to Lua being perfectly adorable, perfectly coifed with her ears all perky and her tail happily wagging, an interested adopter might want to know she is house-trained, walks well on a leash and looks forward to greeting lots of people and finding love in all the right places.
