In the City of Sacramento, the Front Street Animal Adoption Foster Rescue Network is pleading for help for a 10-month-old German shepherd named Hobson. He’s described as a sweet young guy who needs some extra medical care.
According to shelter notes, Hobson arrived on December 11, 2023 unable to use one of his back legs. The medical team believes he had an old fracture that did not heal properly, and the puppy’s leg will need to be amputated. Financial assistance has been offered to an approved 501C rescue organization to help pay for the surgery. Hobson needs placement by New Year’s Eve; euthanasia time is drawing near.
As to Hobson’s behavior, the staff and volunteers tell us this beautiful puppy is a bit unsure of the world around him. Once he becomes acquainted with someone, he quickly warms up and eagerly awaits receiving treats. He has not been tested around other animals.
This puppy has up-to-date on his vaccinations, but still needs to be neutered.
