“Pops” is a handsome five-year-old German shepherd who is currently being held in isolation, where no one but the staff at the City of San Bernardino Animal Services in California can see him. He is on the euthanasia list for January 3, 2024 because the staff claims Pops “won’t solicit attention.”
Pops arrived at the shelter as a stray on December 20 and has not displayed aggressive behavior according to volunteers. In fact, one of the photos elicited the following comment:
a sweet boy who deserves better than the needle and a black sack. pops came in as a stray and is listed as a male, black and brown German shepherd mix weighing 56.80 pounds and they’ve made him ‘rescue only’
