The San Bernardino Animal Shelter in California has named this gentle soul Porter. The three-year-old dog’s story is absolutely heartbreaking.
Porter was found on January 8, 2024 after having been abandoned in a trash enclosure. He weighed only 30 pounds; much less than at least double that weight to be described as healthy. When he was found, his companion had already died, and in a desperate attempt to stay alive, since there had been no food or water to eat and drink, Porter began eating the remains of his canine companion. It is not known how long he had been locked up.

This video of him looking so sad and confused is so beyond heartbreaking.
And to think the monster responsible for this is freely walking among us. Scary. Please share this poor little soul. He deserves to know love and be safe
Please rescue, foster or adopt. Share Porter’s heartbreaking plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. A “share” for Porter is just one more chance someone will see him, read his story and save his life from an overcrowded shelter.
