At the Crowley City Animal Control in Crowley, Louisiana, Rex is longing for someone to love. He is so defeated and losing hope, yet when someone comes to his shelter enclosure to say hello and provide him with the much needed love and compassion, Rex responds with all of his heart.
Sadly, Rex’s plight has been made public on social media nearly a dozen times, and he’s been waiting 180 days, but no one wants to foster or adopt him. How can that be? Please check out his photo below with a volunteer; how loving is this boy?
The shelter describes Rex as a two-year-old, 50 pound chocolate tri color pittie mix. He can be dominant, however he didn’t show any reactive behavior upon intake, but after all this time he is developing kennel anxiety. Please share his plight, and help Rex find the home of his dreams before the shelter decides he is no longer allowed to live.
HELLO! My name is Rex. I am a male 2 year old Pit. I am a big handsome meatloaf. I have been here longer than every other dog posted. Things are not looking well for me. I heard them talking today. I need to leave the shelter soon. I am a sweet love bug. I can be dominant around other dogs. I would need training and isolation before hanging with them. No cats! Im not a fan of felines.
Vetted and heartworm positive
