A viral video in Fort Worth, Texas brought tears to the faces of animal lovers everywhere. It showed an apparently heartless woman abandoning a small dog in its cage on the sidewalk during the pouring rain in front of the Humane Society of North Texas.
This little dog, now named Mindy, however was one of the luckier dogs rescued. It had only been a few minutes that a member of the staff at the rescue organization discovered the little dog left outdoors shivering in the rain and the cold.

She’s scared but healthy and will be ready for adoption in the next few days once cleared by our vet.
And in spite of being tossed away, Mindy was adopted by a wonderful lady who has promised to spoil her and give the little dog the best life.
Her story serves as a reminder that with a little bit of kindness and patience, even the most broken of souls can find their way home.
