Fig, a Pittie mix, endured a challenging life on the streets. Emaciated and struggling to survive, he was found alone in Paterson, New Jersey. With no food or shelter, Fig faced an uncertain future.
A Rescue Mission
Animal control discovered Fig’s dire situation and contacted the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge (RBAR). Together with Jersey Pits Rescue, they formed a team to rescue the suffering dog.
Kendall, a volunteer, first met Fig and was immediately struck by his kind nature. Despite his physical condition, Fig remained hopeful and trusting. His forgiving spirit touched everyone who met him.
A Road to Recovery
After being taken to a hospital, Fig was diagnosed with multiple bones in his intestines. Through careful monitoring and treatment, he gradually recovered. Despite his hardships, Fig never lost his spark or his affectionate demeanor.
Finding a Forever Home
Following his recovery, Fig was transferred to a medical foster home. There, he began to thrive, gaining weight and regaining his strength. He also displayed a loving and playful personality, quickly adapting to life with other dogs.
After months of searching, the perfect family for Fig was found. They were overjoyed to welcome him into their home, providing him with the love and care he deserved.
