A Wisconsin woman was shocked when her 16+ year-old Shih Tzu escaped from her backyard and ended up about a mile away at a local bar having a swinging great time.
According to Fox News, Jenny Hazard, from Milwaukee, had been frantic when she couldn’t find her dog last Wednesday. The elderly pooch, named Bear, had been in the yard with Jenny’s other two dogs when Bear slipped out of the gate which had been left slightly ajar. One can only imagine how upset Jenny had been worrying about her aged dog with a heart condition being outdoors all alone and likely lost.
Jenny immediately posted on social media pleading for help and asking everyone to be on the lookout for her little dog, who not only limped when he walked but is also partially blind. And there he was – somewhere lost in the snow, or at least that is what Jenny thought.
It wasn’t long after she started to look for her pup that someone sent her a text saying,
If this is your dog it’s at Finks.

It had been a friend of a friend who had sent Jenny the text, along with a photo and short video of Bear wagging his tail and having a great time just a mile away from his home. Patrons took care of Bear until his mom arrived.
It is not known how Bear made it to the bar, but he had been next to a group of women, and it is likely someone picked him up and brought him into the bar to keep him warm and help him out if needed.
Bear and his mom have since been reunited.
