At the Carson Animal Care Center in Carson, California, a sweet three-year-old pittie blend with the kindest eyes and the disposition to match, arrived on January 31, 2024 at the shelter with a severe injury to her face. And even though the lacerations digging deep into her face must have been extremely painful, Penelope just shook it off and leaned into the shelter staff for attention and gentle pets.
The lacerations have been repaired; it had been an injury even shocking to the veterinarian staff at the shelter. Penelope remains incredibly sweet and loving, thus motivating the staff and volunteers at the shelter to directly appeal to the public pleading for a loving home for “Miss Penelope.”
she needs a place to rest and be loved as gently as she loves everyone she meets. Her very own post for a dog who doesn’t seem to have had much of her own in life.
Not much is known about Penelope’s life before she arrived at the shelter other than she must have had a very “rough life” thus far, but doesn’t show it.
