At Animal Care Services in San Antonio, Texas, only 8-months-old, Ren trembles with fear as anyone approaches her in her kennel enclosure. She is one of four dogs suspected of having been involved in an animal cruelty case, and after 16 days at the shelter, Ren has now been scheduled to be euthanized.
Due to kennel capacity, Ren will be put to sleep without confirmed placement.

Here is what we know about about Ren based on an evaluation report from February 22. She made eye contact and retreated from the volunteer to the corner of the kennel. She was not interested in treats nor affection. Ren did seem quite nervous then and started to tremble thus avoiding eye contact.
As to her health, Ren acts active and vocal, ambulatory with no overt signs of lameness. She does, however have multiple scars around her ears and on her head. She is eating well, and no other significant findings have been noted.
Please share Ren’s story and help save her life. She is little more than a puppy and has not even had a chance to know love or to begin adventures and fun. Please share her plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives. Follow here.
