At the Russell County-Phenix City Animal Shelter in Alabama, Jewel quietly awaits her fate. She will be at the shelter the day after Christmas and when they open up on December 26, her life or death will be decided.
A volunteer describes Jewel:
“Meet Jewel, this girl is just that a jewel! Oh my! There’s simply no other word to describe this girl other than precious. The staff at the shelter commented on her sweetness and intelligence.
Jewel is a beautiful red and white bull terrier mix and is less than two years old. The person that found her stated that she has been trained and would be a good fit to any family. She had her separated from her own pets, but felt she would probably be fine with other dogs. This girl is a total love bug and a great cuddler.”
