At BARC shelter, Peter was returned to the shelter for being “too energetic.” Tragically, the shelter is full, and there’s no time to work with Peter, so he has been scheduled to be euthanized on Thursday, February 29.
According to shelter notes, Peter is “soft and floofy” and his beautiful eyes shine with life. When the volunteer walked towards his kennel, Peter ran up enthusiastically, his tail wagging and was ready to greet and get going. He was easily leashed and walked fine outdoors. He was a bit jumpy when he saw the dog runs, but was so excited to jump and play.
…playfully jumped on me and tugged on my coat but i was easily able to redirect him with treats. I think he just needs to learn some better manners.

Peter sat for treats, loved his belly rugs and seemed to be fine with other dogs he met.
Returned on February 22. He is neutered, German shepherd mix. His age is 1 1/2 years, weighs 33 pounds and is heartworm negative. #A1918095
